Very nice mod. I was thinking of doing that very same thing. Question for you: did you remove the scales to strip it, or just strip the exposed metal of the tang/pommel with the scales in place? And if it was the latter, does the stripper harm the micarta at all? Should the micarta be taped before using the stripper? Sorry for the tangent, but I'm just itching to get at mine when it arrives.

I'm here later than you, but happy to have drunk the KoolAid! I sprung for 6 of these bad boys! I have 4 micartas and 2 G10 handled ones coming home to me. I'm a fan of satin finished blades too, so I'll have to find someone who knows how to treat a Busse to the finest touch.
