SARGE-7 VS TGLB - Recommendations

Went with the TGLB with the competition finish and black canvas handles. Since this will be a working knife, don't really need the color and Lexi advised that the canvas handles were the "gripiest" compared to paper or the G10. Still see a place for the Sarge 7, but guess I'll have to be patient until the company store offers them again.

Now on to deciding on a dedicated chopper and a skinning knife. Perhaps all the excitement on the 1 of 300 thread will answer the chopper question

I prefer the SARGE7 over the TGLB due to the weight differences and not having the double guard. TGLB is great for killing zombies, but I think the SARGE7 is an excellent all around camp/utility knife. Both are awesome knives. The simple choice...get both!

The TGLB CF/BC is great choice and should be an easy decision while its still available but I really like the SARGE7 myself. I have the 1 TGLB but got 3 SARGEs to go with it.

(forgive the camera distortion in this pic, they're all the same size :))

Wow. Hopefully my TGLB looks as good. Ended up adding an AMS w/striped double cut finish and BC handles to the order to see how it works as a field dressing knife.

Amazing collection of Sarge-7s. Just missed one on the Exchange yesterday

These aftermarket handles? I'm used to 1911 custom grips but always wondered if there were custom knife grip handle makers for Busse's knives or if this was something available through their custom shop.

They are options through Busse. They add to the cost which I think is $50.00 extra for the G10 handles.

How about exotics like highly figured or burl wood, bone...etc? I've seen some knives from the Busse Custom shop that have some amazing handles.

Yes. Those are offered through the custom shop. I have no idea on price, you will have to call them for that info :)

Thanks for the kind words. They can do it, contact Garth. The bottom SARGE started out with black paper micarta handles but Garth put on the black canvas handles for me.

Appreciate the info. I traded a couple of e-mails with Garth on a potential custom build, but this might be a quick way to make a knife even more unique.
