Looks like balance point is right in the middle of the talon hole. It was actually tough to get it to just sit on my fat finger...perhaps a little jittery with caffeine and excitement:

I think someone said it was right at the front guard.
Edit: Yep
Can someone tell me where the balance point is on the SARGE 7? I'm trying to work out whether I can find room for one when the non-LEs come out.
Thanks.
In my experience, the Swine Shaving Sharpness Sheet comes with factory knives, but not those from the store.
As for the sharpness...someone really did a number on my SARGE #28. It is hands down the scaiest edge I've ever handled in my life. It is sharp from the choil all the way through the tip, which is a first for me as well. For example my RMD LE that just came in is sharp up until the edge curves up towards the spine. At that point the edge looses some of its bite.
If you're unhappy you can always send it in for a tune up.
#27 is as he described. Razor sharp. Had you tried the edge on this one with the lack of sleep you claim, you'd be on your way to the emergency room right now, with finger on ice.Do be careful...convexed edges that appear dull can sometimes be deceiving...right up til the blood flows!
