The Friday deadline has now come and gone. How many prepays, Steve? Any idea when we might expect the finished product? Are we there yet? :D

I thought the deadline with this evening. Was I mistaken?

I believe it was July 23. But, on really rare occassions, I have been known to be wrong. :D

I hope this will only take a month or 2, either way waiting for a special run and all of these "Creative deals" that should be hitting the boards soon seems to make circling in the water just a little bit longer. I might need yet another hobby.

I am Way Off today. I could have sworn I made that post yesterday morning, but according to the time stamp: "Today 06:55 AM". In only a few hours, I misplaced an entire day!

LOL!

Wildman? Semp? Bruce?

Last I heard from the Magnificent Martino, two dozen ordered, 20 of those accounted for.

The deadline for pre-pays to Steve (TheMagnificent) Ferguson was July 23rd.

Now...keep in mind, this is a communication between Reno and BirGorkha, and subsequent communication between Pala and the kamis. Then...we got that whole distance thing between Nepal and Reno.

Have any of you ever tried to herd cats? Well.............there are parallels. :)

It is in motion. Now is the time for faith, prayer, smoke, or patience. There are great comic possibilities.

Enjoy.

Deja vous,

Perhaps the two different threads should be linked?

19 prepays. 10 horn and 9 wood. Bill is ordering 12 each so barring "blems" there should be some extras when they come in. Your guess is as good as mine about delivery, this is what I wrote to one person.

"Bill has shipped the knife to Nepal, and that should take about 10 days. I figure the kamis will argue with each other for a week or two about how the knives should be made first. LOL Then a month or so to make them and another 10 days to two weeks to ship them back to Bill, then shipping out to the customers. So it's not a quick process, and this is all just a guess on my part."

Just a few more miles to go son. :D

Count the cows on your side of the car. Your brother will count the ones on his side. When you get to a cemetery, you lose all of your cows. When we get there, the one with the most cows wins. My dad called this "cow poker".
;)

Just as a way to pass the time what does everyone intend to use these for?

I plan on mine being a daily carry, replacing the several low end folders i have gone through. It'll get the basic workout tho on camping or fishing trips.

I want to see what comes back. The size of the blade and knife, and the type of sheath are subject to infinite variation, Bruce, as the kami(s) take the original and attempt to reproduce it. :(

I would not be entirely surprised to receive the first Nepali Pez dispenser handles. :)

Be at peace. The universe is unfolding as it will.

(The original was intended to be inconspicuous for EDC in non-urban environments. Blade length was 3.75 inches to beat a maximum carry length. But who knows what will come back. Should be fun.)

And the "make anything you want to" instruction from Bill turned into 200 standard models. So........given the almost infinite range of kami interpretation....sigh....

Are we there yet? ;)

j/k Bill, I know it will be years.

I had the same unsettling thought. The "Sarge" will finally show up and we'll find the kamis made a bunch of Pen knives. :(
