For President? Naw. I am often reminded of a quote from a book:

"The Irony of American Politics is that no one who is qualified to hold office would consider running for it." Some truth in that, I fear.

I've watched the candidates on televised national coverage, and seen them frequently on Wisconsin local television. Wisconsin must be a "key" state. The constant campaigning and fund raising would drive me over the edge. I'm probably naive, but I yearn for a time when families would consider Public Service as their obligation to the Country, not a means to favor one constituency or another.

Oddly, it was only today that I heard for the first time the issue of the next president nominating folks for the Supreme Court. I want the Supreme Court to be balanced...neither one ideology or the other...impartial...like it says in the rules.


So, it's god or nothing. Sorry Pal.

Aardvark, my friend, there is no single instrument that would address the issue on the scale I envision, hence the god-aspiritions.

But, speaking of khuks and the like, just this minute saw what I think is a U.S. military Bolo knife on eBay. I like the shape...have no need for it, but it seems to be offered by someone unaware of it's heritage.

crazy part is that my website: pendentive.biz is listed on the 2nd page under a regular Google search (using "pendentive") and not only does the website have nothing on it (ie. no content), but I've never submitted it to a search engine....ever.
