I don't think they were ever released in tigerhide or in satin. Also, I don't think that pic is of your beater, that's my knife on my kitchen counter, and I have not sold it. :p

There has not been an LE yet to my knowledge, but there are a few satin customs out there. Jaxx has a sweet one. I just have a black/black linen cg user/keeper.

No problem at all buddy, I was just giving you a hard time. Yours looks great too. I have not used mine very much yet, but I will be changing that in the not too distant future.

Had the SE and let it go. It feels great in the hand. The reason I sold it was that I didn't feel like it chopped well due to the thin stock and the swedge really eats up a baton. For a knife that size it just didn't meet my requirements.

That being said. If the Boss would make one up around .25" without a swedge I'd be on it like a fat kid on a cupcake. The ergos and blade shape are fantastic.

.

I have the CF SE from Blade. Sorry, no pics. Will be grinding the swedge down into a clip point. Horn dog did it first, AFAIK, and it looks great that way.

Sounds like the near term answer. Grind off the baton eating swedge and enjoy the improved results. IIRC, the swedge was the main complaint from the SAR community when Jerry originally released these.

Kevin, with those desired specs, you might want to look into a Scrapyard TRASH-1. ;)
