SarSquatch LE cg SE what u got??

I got the Tan/Tan version from the 2008 Humpoganzaaaaa, where they were also offered in Black/Black and "Competition Grade." I think that was the first time they were offered, and I don't recall them ever being offered on the Busse Website. I'm sure they were offered at subsequent shows and ganzaaas, and maybe from the Busse Company Store (back when that was still in operation), but never as a regular production model from the Busse Combat site. Or am I just remembering wrong?

(I believe the Humpoganzaaaaa "Competition Grade" version was marked as the 2008 Special Editiuon, even though it's ot pictured that way on the Humpoganzaaaaa thread. I got the Competition Grade Hell Razor and Jack Hammer, and that's how they were marked.)

They were offered @ Blade'08 and in that HumpoGanza as part of SE sets (Comp Grade), and also the Sage & Black coated Combat Grades. JTT, you're right, they were never on the site, nor the Store. A few in different combos appeared in shows after, but not sure how many. That's where my black canvas/Tanker Grey one came from.

Unfortuantely, Humpoganzaa was before my time as a Busse collector. I would really like to pick up a comp finished Hell Razor and another comp finished Sarsquatch, especially at those ganza prices! Nice pics as always Jaxx.
 
I wonder if the SARsquatch will be making an appearance in Operation Two Weeks? I'll bet they'd sell a bunch if they offered them in Battle Grade without the swedge for under two hundred bucks. Or with the swedge. Or in INFI. Or as an LE with satin and tigerhide.
 
The SARSquatch looks like a great design....what are the specs on it.... from the pic Jaxx posted it looks like its a good 1/4" wider on the width then the HR but cant tell the thickness of the blade
 
Blade thickness is .187"
Blade height is 2.125" (if I recall correctly)
Blade length is... 7"?
Someone please correct if I'm wrong.
 
Nice! I will have to keep an eye out for a sarsquatch...looks like a blade I will definitely have to get in the future....thanks for the specs:D
 
Have had a '08 Comp for two years. One of my best handling blades. Lose the swedge on the Battle Grade - please! That would render it a TAC Handled Steel Heart. A new design perhaps, Mr. Busse?...;-)
 
Had a Comp Finish SARSquatch that a Buddy has now and I later bought a CG to replace it. I then sent the CG Squatch to Nathan Creech (norcalblacktail) for sharpening and modifications. The spine was reshaped, the entire blade was media blasted and the V edge was convexed and is now sharp enough to split atoms!!!
