I went for a little walk yesterday, as the thunderclouds rolled into my neck of the northeast, I slapped on some BENS 98% deet and started out to my local Beaver dam...I brought my BUSSE friends. I took my .175 stripped Gamewarden in its new necker sheath by Gravelface. He makes one heck of a sheath by the way. I also brought my new combat grade SARSQUATCH. I had just stripped it and stropped the convex grind to razor goodness, so I wanted to give it a good beat down. I found an old pine stump, and dug for some fatwood. I destroyed the stump with a little baton action..some sweat, and a big grin! I love this knife, it fills my hand nicely, and is tough as nails!
It sharpened up nicely..this is no suprise, INFI seems to do that:thumbup: Overall, I give it a 10 out of 10! I love the feel, the weight, the size...its a great camp knife, and it is INFI..it might just beat out my ASH as my go to blade...and thats saying alot!!!
I should note that I have been carrying my .140 Gamewarden as my EDC and I wanted to give this little .175 a run..I like that its a bit thicker, I feel like I could bite a bit harder when carving. I have to work on my .140 super thin edge quite often, as I whittle with it everyday. I think that they are both equal..but the .175 is obviously a bit tougher.
OH! by the way..the FATWOOD turned out to just be WETWOOD:D It stunk and looked promising, but I couldnt get it to light...whats the deal? I know that its hard to find here in the northeast..but, is there a better place to find it..as far as local. this stump was bordering some wetlands...is it better to harvest on highground??

Great pics, great review! That Sarsquatch looks very tempting. Gene, pay attention when you're using a hammer.

:D That isnt from a hammer bro!! A 6x6x 12' post got away from me and squished my hand...my middle finger took the worst of it...I have to drain my tip daily..I drilled a hole in the nail...awesome:thumbup:
I had to reset the finger to..it was dislocated..I actually worked the rest of the day..but man it hurt:D

That sarsquatch really looks good. It grows on me a little more every time I see another favorable post. The symptoms are all too familiar. :p

Nice pics. I am looking forward to getting mine, it will be the first Busse that I've had in many years. But it looks like a practical big blade for sure. I like the wide blade and point, great for prying apart wood.
