SarsquaTch question for all you Busse historians

The Sarsquatch is really close to the 'perfect' SAR knife for me; except the swedge.
Weird how much of a show-stopper it is...

One of our design ideas compared to the actual (Great!) knife:

The convex grind provides a lighter weight, yet super-strong blade  !!

Doing some research on the Squatch, and I dug this old thread up again. had a thought on the swedge. I do not know if this was the intended purpose, but I find that the Swedge in conjunction with the Flatt butt would be great for point first batoning, wich is usually a tecnique for small blades (i.e. game warden) to fell 3 to 4 inch thick trees. just my thought.

Perhaps the spine of the swedge can be utilized as a good edge for using a fire-steel(?) But think that a "swedgeless SARQ" would be a great performer. There's a new design idea for Busse Combat. Have an SQ on the way, so will be able to test the fire-steel theory, and the knife in general. Cheers.
