Well, I read about this item here and quite a few of you people recommended it wholeheartedly. So I put it on my Christmas present list and sure enough it turned up!

I'm reading it now and it is certainly very interesting, though I very much doubt if I'll ever need as much as 5% of the info in it!

Thanks again to those who recommended it.

Andy

It's on my bookshelf also. I pick it up now and again a read a bit then put it down. Waaaaay to much info to digest in more than small doses. Good stuff!

Yeah I have had it a while and think it's pretty great too. My girlfriend got my a pocket sized version for Christmas which is pretty neat because I don't have to remember everything right away, I can bring it with me and practice stuff whilst I'm camping. :)

I looked at one in borders but I didn't buy it. Lots of good info in it, I just didn't have the money to be spending on that. (Right before I looked at it I bought 3 new Knives..)

Ahhhhh, the SAS survival handbook, by lofty wiseman. the book that got me started on the whole "oudoors survival" thing. one of my faves. I got the pocket version 3 or 4 years ago. it's now so well read the spine is threatening to come off.
