I can't even imagine how much time in sanding you have on that bad boy, it's stunning.

Great work thanks for sharing.

Do you have any pics that show you regrinding the primary bevels ?

Thanks.

I don't have pics of the regrinding because I need 2 hands for that :D Someone else would have to take the pics while I grind away. However, I will see if I can find some pics showing how the flats eat into the primary bevels by the time the dimples are removed.

The regrind of the primary bevel is the most difficult part of the process because this is where I feel the most finesse and skill is required. You have to worry about height and depth of grind, evenness of grind on both sides, height and depth of plunge, and evenness of plunge on both sides. Also, because it is already heat treated you don't have the luxury of just hogging off metal by leaning hard into the grind raising the temps. But at the same time a new 60grit belt can do quite a bit of irreversible damage to knife pretty damn fast.

Ban ... that is FANTASTIC!!!

I'd love to have that word done on my Black/Red MS... please email or PM me some details on what it would cost and the time involved to get mine done like that.

Thanks.... I love your Busse Mods. Keep post'n them.

Beautiful work, as always. I have a Ban Active Duty coming, can't wait to get it.

If you smoke cigars, I'm sure there is a postition for you at the Busse shop!

I thought I'd add one last little bit to this thread.

The knife above is mine, and she arrived today. While Ban is very good with photographing his work, I must say that his pic does not do this knife justice. IMHO, one would be VERY hard pressed to distinguish Ban's work from that of a seasoned pro who does this for a living. He was also very reasonably priced and forthright about the time it would take for him to do it and do it right.

I don't want to sound corny, but the words "superb" and "perfect" come to mind, and I do not use those words easily. I guess I am just trying to say that if anyone has any such similar work that they want done on a knife, you will not go wrong with Ban, and I doubt you'll easily be able to find someone who can do it better.
