Hello everyone. First time posting in the Busse forum. I recently purchased a Satin finished, straight handle Battle Mistress with a paracord D gaurd. I was looking for more info on this perticular knife. I have always admired The BM but this one in the picture really did it for me. I was told that it was a rarer model and the cord was tied by Jerry himself. Any other info would be greatly appreciated. I am enclosing the URL of a picture of it to help with info. Can someone tell me if the micarta on this particular BM is a different batch than what is currently being used or not, because the current micarta looks more grayish, whereas the slabs on this one look pure black. Is that just how it turned out in the picture, or is it really pure black? Or might they have been dyed solid black?

Anyway, they look good.

They will "gray" up in time. I wiped them down lightly with WD-40 and that made them darker.
