Approx. what grit would a Benchmade or Spyderco be considered? I am especially interested in the grit size of the Starmate. Thanks.

It's just a guess, but I'd be surprised if it was higher than 1200. I recently did two fixed blades up to 2000, and it's almost mirror.
 
Yeah, I'm thinkin' it's more like 600, just wanted a professional opinion.
