Satin finish or buffed finish on guard and pommel

I've got the guard pre-shaped and was just curious as to what finish I should do on the guard and the pommel. I'm doing the blade in a satin finish but am stuck on the finish of the guard and pommel. Here are the pics. They will be done in brass and the handle will be red linen micarta with a 60 or 120 grit finish.

Do a 800 grit satin on it and let it patina.

I'll take that into consideration. Anyone else have a suggestion? I'm going to be using this as my EDC and hunting knife.

Also wondering how what finish I choose would look with a low grit finish on the micarta handle.

I like the satin look personally.
