Hi Will,
I just used the disc grinder to remove the ramp on the spine on the S5 LE as it was directly above the choil and where I like to place my thumb for delicate work. The knife came with a great razor sharp edge so I have'nt had the need to re-sharpen it. I don't think I would fully convex this knife because as you say it is not too thick and is nicely balanced and light as is. I will put a convex edge on it though...but that is an easy task...I might give the knife a rounded choil using a drum sander as I prefer this type of choil...but I could live with the knife as is...here are some pic's of the knife and my Rainwalker sheath...I do love his accessories as they make carrying the knife so easy and varied...particularly his clip attachment. This knife is a real "gem" and will no doubt be my most used piece of Infi...I can carry this and never notice the weight...a great hiking knife and just about any other use as well:thumbup:
