The cool thing is that he has carvings on both sides of the blade, and they are all different. I'll try to post better pics of the carvings from both sides later today.

will do if I get the DD.

Edit - Confirmed Done Deal. I'm so happy. I have been waiting a long time for a farm knife.

Last one now on my wish list is a not too heavy Bonecutter.

less than 2 years ago I was debating about getting a HI kuk. Now I'm close to 50. Crazy HIKV!

Congratulations. I've been HIKV positive with a specification toward the HI Farm Knife for a year now, but timing wouldn't have worked out for me at the moment anyway. I hope they'll be revisiting the model again more frequently in the future.

My spidy senses detect that where there is one there will be more. I could of course be wrong but my spidy senses are insured with Lloyds of London for $2.50 cash money and they are seldom wrong.

Here are the pics of Tirtha's carvings on my 18" UBE. They're awesome, they are on both sides of the blade, and each side is different. I love Tirtha's work, every blade I have from him is just spectacular, there is just no other word to use.
