Yangdu Clearance Special continues.

None of these are blems - can't figure out why the price is low - I guess she just really wants them to move.

Well, here ya go:

DOTD0423015.jpg

12" Ang Khola - wood, 13 oz., 12 inches, 1.1 oz./in., S.B., = $55 shipped - SOLD

Sgt. Khadka Kothimoda bilton - wood, 5.8 oz., 9.5 inches, 0.6 oz./in. = $38 shipped - SOLD

Sgt. Khadka Kothimoda bilton - wood, 4.9 oz., 9.25 inches, 0.5 oz./in., SK = $38 shipped - SOLD

Important - Please Read:
  • 1. Payment is by PAYPAL (add 3%), CHECK, or Money Order ONLY.
Do not send payment to H.I. - I am collecting it here.
If you send payment to H.I. it will end up as a very nice donation to Ram's tuition. :D
  • 2. Please EMAIL me for payment address/info - please include YOUR shipping information.
  • 3. I can ship USPS Priority or FedEx Ground - Please specify which you prefer. I will ship USPS Priority by default.
  • 4. I will mark the item SOLD when I get your COMPLETE information.
  • 5. I will ship when payment arrives - no sooner.
  • 6. Price includes ConUS shipping costs. International = add $25
I am trying to make this as similar to Yangdu's Deals as possible - to keep things running smoothly, but naturally, there have to be a few changes. I will be collecting all payments and returning a lump sum to Yangdu when she returns. I am not benefiting monetarily from this. Just doing my best to help H.I. stay afloat, keep the kamis busy, and reduce some inventory.

If you have ANY questions, please feel free to EMAIL me. Bear with me...I'm sure there are going to be kinks in the system that need working out.

I'll update this first post as items are sold.

Sgt. Khadka's biltongs are superb. Make a simple leather or kydex sheath, and you've got a great fixed blade for carry. Or slip the kothimoda sheath into your sash, when you go to visit the Prime Minister or the King, and you've got a sweet little dress blade. :) I just can't get enough of the Sargeant's work. Good stuff!

Hi Guys,
I'm a newbie here . Email sent to dan for the 12 and 15 inch ang kholas !
You're a lucky guy to stumble on this. A lot of new guys have to wait quite a while before they get a DOTD.

What's a DOTD and i've been stalking this forum for last couple of weeks. it took some work.. believe me ! these knives are gifts for some close friends .. i have the chiruwa...

DOTD = Deal of the Day

I was wrong - These are Saturday Night Specials, not DOTD. Hey, aren't these illegal?

I'll bet your friends are going to be really pleased with their gifts. Please let us know how they are received.

sure will howard.. btw my friend's are biologists who go into central and south american jungles quite a bit so I'll post their experiences ..
I have one question. How will the sheath/scabbard fare in moist wet rainforest type of climate ? or in fact in any tough climate (wet or dry ) ? if the answers not positive then is there any way they can get a tough weather proof and hopefully inexpensive sheath for these beautiful blades ?

Rajesh, I have a 15" And 12" Ank and they are both wonderful.
Glad you pulled the trigger on those cause Dan's DOTDs are
killing me. Enjoy.

Mine do OK in the Pacific Northwest, where they occassionally get wet. The Gurkhas have taken them all over the planet. I would suggest having your friends try it out. If the sheaths fall apart then they can worry about replacing them. I suspect they'll do fine.

If they do take the sheaths to the rainforest we will all be interested in hearing a report on how they hold up. This question as to sheath durability under humid conditions comes up a lot. Most people don't actually take their knives down to the rain forest though so first hand reports are scarce.

sorry to keep you guys hanging......

The AK's are both GONE

One of those biltons just became mine :D :D

I'm pretty geeked.

Is this another addiction like Spyder-itis? Cuz it's starting to feel that way...
