I know this will get moved soon, but I am pissed

Bought a Spec Bump from them. They sent me a used fricken knife.
Randy Manley (girlie) told me to send it back.

It is a month and 1/2 later. I have no knife, I am out $115.00, I have sent them emails, and they dont respond....

Friggin .......

Yeah, I did.... Didn't think about it. I will give it a go tomorrow. Thanks, commander.

I was really hoping that they would just send me a new Bump. I think a month is plenty of time to resend/ship ( at least respond to my email or voicemail. Tonight I gave up hope.

Have you actually talked to Randy on the phone or just emails? Randy prefers to settle matters over the phone at least in my experience.

Ditto, I have personally bought 3 knives, including a spec bump and no prob. Just give them a call, he's always had time to talk to me so I am sure he will make you happy.

I have purchased from him several times in the past, and talked to him on the phone several times to fix a problem. He has always be quick to fix things, very courteous, and accomodating in every way possible. I am sure that if you are experiencing difficulty, it has to be an accidentally dropped ball somewhere. As others here have said, give him a call (you may have to try several times before you get ahold of him), and I am sure he will take good care of you.

You know, we do have a specific forum for these sort of things (hint: this is not it).

One absolutely cannot depend on email as a reliable communications medium. There is so much filtering and blocking going on, due to spammers and scammers, garbage operating systems and brain-dead applications, and ISPs' unwillingness to terminate abusive/careless/incompetent customers, that email cannot be regarded as reliable.

I would call them on the phone or snail-mail them, before condemming them based purely on a lack of email response.

Then why didn't you post it in TGB&U in the first place?

I agree, and I normally prefer telephone communication as well. However, it's unfortunately been my observation on a few occasions that email will seem to function flawlessly until a sale is completed and some problem or issue arises. That being said, I am not making an implication with regard to this vendor, because I have limited information and no personal experience with the company. I hope everything gets resolved satisfactorily.

This is really true. 18% of all our emails fail to get through the spam blockers. We don't use spam blockers so we get all our emails but the price we pay is deleting about 300 pieces of spam per day. Few companies are willing to do that. I'll bet your email was the victim of a spam blocker.
