So I have a few different Busse/kin sawback variants. The only one that didn't get finished was the last bm sawback. Saw is dull. It is stonewashed. Any others busse sawback models have this problem, or just the last bm stonewashed?

I know the stonewashed finish causes the dulling on the teeth.

What does, "didn't get finished" mean? (re-sharpen teeth after stonewash process?)
Do you mean the Fusion Battle Saw (FBS), (not "BM")?
The stonewashed FBS had softened corners on the teeth. Stonewashing removes hard corners, etc.

yes. the big sr with the rubber handle is stone washed and didnt have that issue.

Ah, that'd make me question it too.

Check out these three pics from the FBS thread:

Having a stonewashed FBS might make me tempted to take a crack at giving it an alternate top bevel grind... it'd be a cutting machine (in my mind).

In this pic/snip of a Lile Rambo knife, they alternate... straight across, left slope, right slope, straight again...

Does Busse charge you shipping to and from, if the issue is Busse's doing?
Edit. It appears they are taking care of that. And then some. to be continued.

Call Busse & discuss…. best info is from the source.

I hadn't run across that (I personally don't like sawbacks... I only have one from Busse, and that is one of the elmax blades, which isn't stonewashed). But i would hope they would fix that up for you if you ask. I'm also thinking they might want to add a note to their sale pages to point out that fact, if it isn't there already. That would be a little disappointing, to order a sawback and have it arrive pre-dulled.

See the bottom-most sticky thread on page 1 of this forum.
