Here is another hunter I made from a vintage 10" table saw blade, the good old kind without carbide cutting inserts and is 3/32 thick L6 tool steel (or equivalent). Its blade is 3.8 inches long, 1.3 inches wide and an overall length of 8.5 inches. I differentially heat treat achieving an edge hardness of about Rc 60. The spine is left at a lower hardness for maximum strength. The blade is semi flat ground with a convex edge and a mustard patina applied to give the appearance of age.

The wooden scales of this knife are Macadamia lace wood that are bolted with stainless steel screws and round brass nuts, Loveless style, and epoxied to the knives full tang and a brass lined lanyard hole. The bolts provide greater strength and durability than pins.

The tooled pouch sheath is made of heavy 8/9 ounce leather with a belt loop sown in place.

SOLD Price is $70 shipped in US

I prefer PayPal (my account is kelley_ward2@agilent.com) but take other forms of payment.
Thanks,
Kelley Ward

Great deal! You're going to like this one JPHolyoak. Kelley does great work. I got to be quicker next time.

I got the the nessmuk version. Wish I could have grabbed this one as well. Great little blade.

I just received this knife yesterday. First, I'd like to thank Kelley for the excellent customer service and getting this out the door right away. He's been a class act to purchase from. My first impression of the knife was "Wow, this feels great in the hand." The knife has absolutely perfect geometry and is a pleasure to use. The blade is thin and a little bit flexible. Some people wouldn't like this but I use my knives for cutting, not as pry bars. I wouldn't want to use this knife to hack down a tree. It is a slicer/cutter and nothing else. The fit and finish is ok. This is a knife to be used, not put on a shelf. I have other knives made by Randall, Patton, Dozier, etc. Is the quality of this knife the same as those - no. But neither was the price. I feel like I paid a fair price for a good knife. This is a knife that will be used a lot. Based on my first impression, this is the first knife I will likely grab when I head out to the woods for hunting or fishing. It is perfect for deer and smaller game. I am very happy with my decision to purchase and would purchase from Allen again. JPH
