Not all saw mill blades, and especially the newer ones are L6. Most table saw blades are carbide tipped and the body isn't tool steel. Best way to find out what you have is call or write the manufacturer.
i'm whittling one down now. It is a Simonds . I called the company and with the ID numbers,they were able to tell me it was 1070 with 2% nickel. Said their blades were either 1070 and 1080 with the added nickel. He was kinda interested in the fact I was recycling it into knives.

Grouse hunting is not a matter of life or death. It is much more important than that.
With the added 2% nickle, you could say you have some 15N20 steel. About as close to the real thing. Some makers are starting to use tis steel for blades, as it is the replacement for L-6.
