Ok, how much life are folks seeing on average from their Sven Saw and other brand blades? I'm curious now to find out if any blades are made from better steel (true knifenut), and if the cut of the teeth is having folks choose a favorite?

Another question is how do they affix on your brand? Have you ever experienced a failure, or weakening of the structural integrity, due to the way the blade is fastened to the saw?

Can't comment on the Sven saw or brands like it. I have owned a few different folding (pruning) saws and in my experience the only real problem is from the blades bending.

I am curious to know as well

From what I've seen Silky Saws are the best. I dont own one but it is on my list. I've done a fair amount of research and have not found anything more convincing. Thay have that Impulse Hardening that is supposed to last real long. Thay also have Non-set Teeth so they don't stick when they cut and I believe they are made from SK-4 high carbon steel. http://www.silkysaws.com/

Ok, but my main focus was to find out about Bow Saw Blades, not the hand saws we are all good to go on those....Have a few different ones myself.
