I'm looking for any recommendations for a thin kerf table saw blade. Any ideas as to the thinnest available? It will just be used to cut blocks in half for scales, just wanting the least amount of waste. I would also like to know what brand of coping saw blades most of you use? Which brands do you get the most life out of?

Depends how big your tablesaw is for blades what options will be available, Freud makes some pretty thin kerf blades, like their Diablo. Gotta use good carbide blades to get a decent cut in stabilized blocks i find.

I'll second the Freud Diablo, I've gone through a couple and they're awesome. Forrest Woodworker II blades have a great reputation as well.

Thanks guys, that's great to hear. Freud was the first result when i searched for thin kerf blades. I don't see the Diablo on their site, but I see it for sale at various hardware stores. Is the Fusion the replacement line for the Diablo? Or should I stick with the Diablo?

Still no recommendations for coping saw blades? I've been using Otto Frei blades for a while, but I notice they sell other brands on their site. Has anyone tried these other brands? Are they worth the extra money?

Matsushita thin kerf carbide tipped blades are highly recommended in the boatbuilding community. You can find lots of reviews on Google.
