saw blades

well i have a 6x48 saw for sawing steel.
i had 7 ban saw blades and you only get about three cuts, on piece of 1095 out of them.

I use M42 bi-metal blades. My saw is pretty small, so a 64.5 x .25 inch blades run about 20.00 a pop.
