In case you haven't heard about it yet, want to encourage you to check out the "MXZ" saw if you are looking for a folding saw for your pack.
Saw them on TV a while back, but thought they were hype - I was wrong.
Last time I saw Dad, he had picked one up, had sawed nails wood, pvc - like the slogan says "Will cut Almost anything" (including Cynder blocks
- you never know when you'll be in the woods and need to do that ya know - ha, ha

In fact, I'm not sure what it won't cut - never needs sharpening, and is safe to the touch.
I snagged one and threw it in my pack, pretty rugged construction as well.
Just thought I'd throw it out there for consideration, especially considering some of you guys might need something to clear those limbs out of the way for buck season..
