In case you haven't heard about it yet, want to encourage you to check out the "MXZ" saw if you are looking for a folding saw for your pack.

Saw them on TV a while back, but thought they were hype - I was wrong.
Last time I saw Dad, he had picked one up, had sawed nails wood, pvc - like the slogan says "Will cut Almost anything" (including Cynder blocks :) - you never know when you'll be in the woods and need to do that ya know - ha, ha
.
In fact, I'm not sure what it won't cut - never needs sharpening, and is safe to the touch.

I snagged one and threw it in my pack, pretty rugged construction as well.

Just thought I'd throw it out there for consideration, especially considering some of you guys might need something to clear those limbs out of the way for buck season..

I've seen them, but did not got one based on a review they did on "Deal or Dud" a review section on the TV news here in the Fort Worth area. Their bottom line was thet the MXZ works, but so slowly (they said inefectively) that you'd so better with a more dedicated tool.

That been said, I have not used one. I you did like it. How does it compares to other wood or metal saws?
