Mike I can't say that I have ever used it for that, but I have used mine extensively on other projects. My only suggestion would be to glove up or wrap some friction tape around the SAK as things can get slippery in there and as you mentioned the teeth are real aggressive... No point in adding extra blood (yours) to the mix . I have seen Ron Hood cut antlers with the SAK saw.
I have cut bone, antler and hardwood with SAK saw and it works better than some bigger commercial saws. If your SAK features a tool-blocking device, much better for you
