my experience is the opposite-the glass saw does work on wood but not nearly as well as a SAK wood saw design with double teeth-the glass saw will crudely rip through -with splinters from the tearing rather than cutting-if the wood is soft and green it may work ok-if the wood is hard-such as the oak i tried -the saw will tend to bounce rather than cut, the teeth just arent the same-still a cool SAK but as ive posted before,very task specific.
