Here is a nice knife made from sawblade steel and mesquite burl..The sawblade is very old and we tested it several times(very fine grain, shatters like glass after a austenitizing temp of 1475* and quench in parks 50)..It appears to be something similar to 1080+2% nickle..We heat treated it just like 1084..Hardened in parks 50 with two tempering cycles..
The steel is about 5/32" thick..The knife is just under 7" long with a 3" cutting edge..The handles are mesquite burl with four 1/16" stainless pins..Im asking $77 shipped priority for this knife..My paypal is wolfcreekforge@bellsouth.net
