Ok so this seems to be a sore spot for some folks

but hay what do I know. I have made a working saw on 5 knives so far. All work well and all have not be a spot for the blade to break. If done correctly it will work.
Just sent this one out about 2 weeks ago.
Another of it in action, about 10 sec of action that is
Sorry I didnt get finished pics of the action. Was in a bit of a hurry to get the blade out. I hadn't even ht or ground the blade yet.
I have done this method by hand and with my mill. Much faster with a mill though

I grind the bevels up to the bottom of the saw so that when the saw cuts past the tines it doesnt bind on the bevels. I also drill the stop point of each tine to not form stress risers. Each tine has a 6deg neg rake on the top and every other side of each tine on both sides has a 3 deg cant to make room for the cut.
Diff knife but same idea
It is not a %100 replacement for a hand saw or a wire saw as it is not as comfortable to use, but it works like a saw is supposed to and looks cool
If you wanna know how to make it let me know.
