Sawzalls...

Milwaukee or DeWalt/Black & Decker(DeWalt is Black & Decker's heavy duty line). Milwaukee makes great drills to, but avoid anything else they make.

Buy the orbital Super Sawzall. Might as well get the best. You get MUCH faster cutting on wood and thin metal with orbital mode. I've got the Super Sawzall, and 18V Hatchet, both with orbital mode. Outstanding tools.

And why would that be?

Because after using Milwaukee drills, reciprocating saws, circular saws and jig saws side by side with their Black and Decker, Skil, and Makita equivalents on a professional level, I've always found that while Milwaukee drills and reciprocatings saw can hold their own against any of the competition, their jigsaws and circular saws(along with the current Skil circular saws) on the other hand have very short service lifes and are extremely underpowered.

Sorry for the
Guess we just have a difference of opinion. I can't argue with yours, 'cause I really don't have any experience with the tools you didn't like.
I haven't used a Milwaukee circular saw much(bought one and took it back for a Makita like one I'd used daily on a job, and preferred).
Their jigsaws are heavy and clumsy, but I've only handled them. They seem very well made, but I won't be buying one of those(I'll get a Bosch when I need a new one).
My 4 1/2" Milwaukee angle grinder smokes the "heavy-duty" DeWalt and Makita versions we have at work, though.
Our company buys identical replacements for tools when they wear out.Burn up a DeWalt grinder, same model replaces it. Burn up a Makita..same thing. We have some relatively new Makita and DeWalt stuff, but all of our old, beaten beyond recognition tools are the same brand-Milwaukee.
Our maintenance guys like the brand, so do the people I've talked to who sell tools, and use them on jobs. From what I've seen and done with them, I'm impressed, too. That's why your statement struck me as "off".
