sax blades/megafolder

To Phil:
I see from the opening page of this forum that Case has a new folder with a sax blade. It is a small bladed folder without a lock it is true, but a large, single bladed folders with a lock like a Buck 110 would work just fine without having to reinvent the wheel.
 
I agree. IMO, the wharncliffe/sheepsfoot style blade is probably the most useful for an everyday utility knife. At least it is for me. Things like opening mail and boxes, cutting articles out of newspapers and magazines, cutting loose threads, opening those pesky food packages, etc... For these types of things, having a straight edge with the point dropped down that low makes much more sense than other blade types. It also makes sharpening easier.
