Actually, if Benchmade put a little more refinement into it, the Pinnacle would be best suited for military issue IMHO. The Frame Lock, when done right, is a simple and pretty doggone strong lock for a folding knife. I would also make the blade profile more along the lines of the AFCK's to ease the task of field sharpening for the average GI.
Simple, strong and fairly inexpensive(compared to other Frame Locks in it's size class). A military accountant's dream issue knife.
