Ernest has a way with words. This quote made me pocket my CQC7.
Ernest, re: CQC7. "Whether you are kicking down a door or taking the family to a movie, everyone needs a CQC7."
Gotta love that line.

Interviewer---And this is American made?
Ernest Emerson-- "Hell yeah right down to the screws".

And 2 minutes later I added a mini commander to my BladeHQ cart for my first Emerson.

Speaking of.... just took delivery the other day CQC-7A. I like. Mike

Not universally. I have tried on three different occasions (and model sizes) to like the seven, and just cannot. Don't like the grip at all. Gimme' a 7B blade in a Ten grip, I'd be in hog heaven.

Ernest is a stand up guy!! Shows in his knives and business! I've found out just more and more about him after I've bought the knife and definitely made me glad I mad the purchase :D

I love the 7! The handle of the regular 7 is just enveloped by my hand and fits very snugly. The super 7 gives me allot of room and allows for many different grip styles, many of which are helpful for doing odd EDC tasks like reaching into a narrow space to cut some rope.

Try the SOCFK. I have the same reservation about the handle on the 7.....the SOCFK addresses that!

I have a CQC-11 which has a very similar grip, and it is an improvement over the 7 for me, but I really like the CQC-10's grip. I also have a Roadhouse which works for my hands and gives me a great Tanto blade.
