Sayoc is a great FMA art. I've been taking private lessons for about a year now. I have found it to be a very good basis to understand and apply edged weapons. What I find separates Sayoc form other styles is the teaching methodology. The templates and transition drills are something that you just have to experiance. If you have an instructor or can take a seminar nearby, check it out.
There is a site: www.sayoc.com There is a discussion board where you can ask more specifc questions.
Guro Dan Inosanto has hosted Tuhon Chris at his academy and spoken very highly of him and his family system. My exposure was limited, but I was very impressed. I have also heard Guro Crafty Dog speak highly of Tuhon Chris and arrange for his participation in Dog Brothers training camps.
Hello Guys,
Nice to see all the positive words being posted. Sayoc Kaliis a great art and I recommend you attend a seminar to see what it is all about(or at least a portion of what it is about). If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask either here or on the Sayoc public forum(www.sayoc.com).
