Scagel question

I noticed a hole in the blade on Scagels and I'm wondering if they are one handed openers?

Not the ones I own. (But I suppose it's possible for someone determined to make it work.)

Springs on most Scagel style folders are generally quite strong -- if you can crush a coconut with one hand, then you can most likely one hand open one. The curved slot does help quite a bit to make the strong springs easier to manage though - especially for Scagel style multiblades.
