Scagel Repro. Folder

A quick question (if you don't mind) what does the "1 of 200" mean on the box? Does that mean that it is the the first of that model run, or that there are only 200 models of Scagel repros that are going to be made?

Hey fixer,

I don't mean to speak for waynorth but that 1 of 200 on the box means that there are only 200 models made in that particular style...I don't believe that Northwoods has the individual knives actually numbered to mark the order of the knife...At least my knives are not...

Which Scagel do you own..?? Pictures are always good..

Take care,

Sunburst

The "one of 200" means that is the most that will be made of that model, fixer! Most runs were smaller! It may take me a while, but I am on a quest to reveal the actual numbers, and I'll post the list here when I get it complete. The ones I've mentioned so far are within a knife or two of being confirmed!

Pictures? Can't help you there (wish I could).

I've got a duoble bladed folder with really nice stag, with a silver name tag (1 of 200) and single bladed Scagel repro with a gold name tag, no number and only:

SCAGEL
Northwoods Knives
Galdstone Mich, USA

There is no numbering or anything like that.

But man are they sweet, I look at them once or twice a year just to make sure they are fine.

Wait a minute, there is a black cardboard box with "1 of 4" written on the inside of the lid in pen, and a bright red tag with Scagel written on the end of it in blac for the single bladed silver name plate folder.

Is that a small single blade, like the third one down in my picture??????

Actually on re-examination by removal from safe, my Scagel is more like the fourth one down, but with a different sort of stag handle, instead of the spackled look of your #4, mine has long lines and texture of your #3 knife.

Mine has five "rivets" your #3 only has three.

Wish I could help you out with pics Waynorth, these are seriously nice knifes.

Fixer, can you email me some pictures? I can then post them. It will also help me find the variations!!

Wow waynorth, that's amazing stuff.
I really, truly like the two first ones.
I prefer smooth stag, and that is a fine example of it.
And that ironwood... Well, I was always a sucker for wood handles, so this really made my mouth water.
