Hi folks,

I REALLY like the Scagel type knife of Jim Behring or Malosh but they are out of my budget ... Do you know other knifemaker who mades affordable good Scagel replica ???

You should check out Dan DiStefano/Coyote Forge. I do not own one of his knives, but they look good and are very reasonably priced.

PJ Tomes also makes great Scagels.

Dr. Jim Lucie, who was Scagel's personal Dr. , makes very fine Scagel repo's. They are sorta pricey, but as far as quality they are second to none!

However, you may want to try and contact Mike Malosh privately and see if he can hook you up. I think you might be confusing the price of his knives with what some are asking for them on ebay - about double + what they normally sell for from him.

Check out the Custom Sale section on BF, there is a Dennis Riley JS Scagel style fixed blade that looks really good and at the top of your range. I do not know the seller or have any interest in the sale.
