I have a few questions to ask in hope some will tell me someone about it.

1; i was thinking of coating my blades of 1095 with anti-scale coating, start my firing and quench . now is this a good thing for me to do on a knife that was not forged ?
2; if i do this and i bring them out of the kiln, do i just quench them with this coating on or do i forget about doing this at all?

Yes you quench with it on. and yes you will still have a little scale but not nearly as much as you would with a forge
