Thanks Don, I’ll look into it. My wife is from Nueva Vizcaya north of Manila in the mountains.Gus, if you have the time, I will recommend Mt Pulag at the north of Manila for family with kids. It’s 2 days hike which requires you to sleep over in a tent. This is a much manageable hike for families and you will be rewarded with a beautiful sea of cloud if the weather is good. I did it 4 years ago with a family with a 8yo boy too.
Nueva Vizcaya is just a stone throw away from Mt Pulag. Hire a few porters. Just take the important things with you. But don’t do it if the rainy season has started.
