Scales for Beckers info request.

Yes, I've ordered them again. And again. And again. And again..........haha

All my tweener's have the the micarta and most of my large Beckers have the Ka-bar Micarta as well. I think they feel a 1000 times better than the stock grivory.
I don't think I could ever go back to the grivory after using the micarta.

I ordered the scales for my BK11 yesterday, and will either do a sheath for it as well, or the scales for the 17 next.
 
I ordered the taco sheath from Azwelke for the BK-11 that's made to account for the micarta handle scales, and I ended up with just enough spending money left to get the micarta scales for my 17. I was going to wait a while, but after using it to cut cord, boxes, shrink wrapped pallets of water, wrapping off of pop cases, and opening a letter, I decided it "deserved" scales too. I've quite spoiled myself this month, with a sheath and scales on the way for my 11 and 17. There's a back story of that I'll share when the one of the sheaths gets here. :)
 
Here's that dark green micarta. My micarta is a lot wider than the factory handles and kabar micarta.

710-Very Nice! By a lot wider, are we talking the way a set of grivory handles feel with liners added, or are we talking way beyond that? A BK9 is on my list of knives to get, so you've piqued my interest. I vary between L and XL for gloves, usually going with XL. The kelvar/nomex gloves I wear now are XL.
 
I got word this morning that my dark green Micartas are on their way from 710. Stay tuned for the pictures.:thumbup:
 
I just put the stock micarta handles on my BK-5 and in my opinion the micarta has made a 100% improvement in the handling and appearance of what already was a great knife. I'll never go back to those horrible slippery plasticky handles that these knives come with.

I've said it before, but they really look fantastic on your knives with the factory micarta.
 
I loved the micarta on my BK-5 so much I just did the unthinkable. I bought another BK-5 and another set of micarta grips - what a knife!
