Folks have asked in a couple of threads about serrated Beckers, and the answer, of course, is that they're out there.
You can dig around for the old Camillus BK-2SG or BK-7SG models.
Or you can make a friend in the military since, as moose pointed out to me in another thread, Ka-Bar does offer a serrated version of the BK-2.
At the Ka-Bar website
, we find this note:

Note, there is also a serrated version of the Becker Campanion available exclusively for government NSN orders.
Please call KA-BAR customer service and reference NSN: 1095-01-493-1798 KNIFE-COMBAT (KA-BAR #BK2SG)

We all know the Bk-3 TacTool has serrations. Just look at 'em. There they are.
However, also on the Ka-Bar website, there is a similar note about the TacTool.
I presume therefore (though I am not sure) that a fully serrated version of the TacTool is coming out of Ka-Bar.

I do own two of the SG versions that came out of Camillus.
This designation refers to Scalloped Government since the models were "scalloped" (serrated) and since they were intended for military sale and use.
About this abbreviation, Phill Gibbs (formerly of Camillus) noted to me via PM:

Phil Gibbs said:
Camillus used the term Scalloped to define a Spyderco type serration rather than a steak knife (fine) type of serration.
The SG designation was Serrated (or Scalloped) Government as all the knives we sold the Military were of this type.

A W&SS thread by our own mistwalker (BH #27) has me rethinking the utility of these blades.
Based partly on his comments, I'm going to try them in the rotation pretty soon.
At any rate, here are the two I have. BK-7SG on top, BK-2SG on bottom.
Both of them have aftermarket Camillus micarta grips that I added myself. The stock handles were grivory.

My BK-2SG came in the standard Camillus kydex sheath.
However, the BK-7SG came with a very nice long Spec-Ops Combat Master similar to the sheath that came with the BK-77 Extreme.
Here's the Camillus logo on the back. If you dial that 1-800 number, you get a message by Ethan Becker telling Camillus to go to hell.

Couple of last thoughts.
I would like to see some Ka-Bar serrated models, so if anyone has pics, post 'em up.
I am especially curious about the Ka-Bar BK-3SG TacTool and wonder if the entire blade is serrated.

yar... good stuff. might have to absorb into the FAQ at some point :>

Was the powder coating better on the camillus beckers, It looks thicker.

I don't really know (yet). It is a bit more porous than the coating on my BK-14, which has a smoother surface.
As for durability, I can't say as I haven't really roughed up the EsKabar. Perhaps others can speak to this contrast better.

Does anybody know if there's a fully serrated Ka-Bar TacTool out there?

Just a friendly word to the wise that auction spotting isn't sanctioned at BFC.
I understand the impulse to help out your fellow Beckerheads, but I just don't want folks here to get infractions.

Do you work for he gubment?

Moose

Well, not so much work as slave, I will continue posting here for answers rather than on both threads. Lol.

What I mean is, do I have to be a sponsor ordering for a group or unit, or do I just need a Government ID?

Doesn't hurt to ask. Call 'em up and ask 'em where they keep the gubment knives. Heck, ask if you can get some gubment cheese too.
