I'm working on a break-away type 550 lanyard, but no pics yet.
This one's got a scalloped handle, which is new. The thong hole is also smaller, and more symmetrical w/the bottle opener.

i've made breakaway paracord with some magnetic bracelet clasps i found at the local hobby store. You should try it. I like your knife and homemade micarta by the way.

That sounds like a cool way to do it. I didn't think of magnets before - I'll have to keep my eyes open for some. I found some 1/4" inside dia. rubber tubing and cut that into 3/4" lengths. Once I burned the ends of the cord, it formed a hard fat knot that I shoved inside each end of the tubing. It looks good and works.
