Scam alert!

Right after I posted in a sale thread with interest to purchase, I received this scam email. Note that I did not leave my personal email on the post.

Replying on a sale thread might not be the best idea.

Here’s another scammer’s attempt to get me to buy a knife through an email. This stuff seems to be getting more frequent. Anyhow watch out for this guy. Here’s a photo of the email I received. I never gave my email address to the real seller.

Yes, took about a minute to find it.

Yes. Earlier days on the forums with less of these scammers I used to share my personal email. I think the almighty search engines will crawl these info and scatter in the internet as well.

Best to not reply in the sale thread imo. Just use pm.

Go back through your post history and remove places that you shared your email publicly. I was able to find your email in about 60 seconds using the built-in search here on the forum.

I disagree. You should respond in the sales thread, "I'll take it. PM me with payment details."

What you should not do, is respond to an email which purports to be from the seller without fully verifying that the person emailing you is indeed the seller.
