I would advise you all not to deal with www.completeknives.com and Mr.James Irvine. In December I sent him $357 for a few knives and he still hasnt sent them or my money back. His excuses have been his wife is sick, he lost his job, he will send payment in a few weeks etc etc. Anyone got any advice for what I should do?

Any info appreciated.

P.S His website has been down for a few months now.

I hope you paid by credit card? Going to your card issuer would be easy enough. You may be hosed if you paid by check or MO. A friend of mine had a similar experience - he went to his local police and filled out a police report. His local police contacted the local police where the knife thief lived. Unfortunately that's the end of it as the police couldn't find the thief. No surprise there. Guys that steal like this are able to sleep just fine at night, and rest assured you are not alone. I'd like to see the address information for this pirate.

Scum like this deadbeat seller cover their tracks by changing company names, screen names, etc. Don't read too much into the fact the web sight isn't pulling up. He's made some easy money so he won't travel too far. BTW, do a search on "ted wood" if you want to read about customer abuse at the hands of a master con artist and thief.

Looked at some of his old emails and saw this in his signature....

ummm his still selling, dude i was right then. over at SFI the same guy was selling on eBay and another site selling mainly chen products like katana and such. he got thousands out of people and apparently sued by eBay? there are people still waiting for an outcome and they aint holding there breath (some lost up to $2000+).

i truly thought they permanently put him out of business but obviously his found away around that...dude i hope it turns out good for you but his running track is his wife has got worse and the job thing is obviously new since he only works selling stuff...or should i say not selling stuff.

good luck but dont hold your breath, if you payed via credit card then you have options but this guy is making a killing ripping people off...people like him are the reason online trading is so unsecure and why newcomers are weary to deal with people online.

if you see James Irvine selling online run the opposite direction as he is obviously doing it on purpose now.

Hi,

As you may know, I have been suspended by eBay / Paypal, I am unclear at
this time the exact cause of this suspension. This unexpected move by eBay/
Paypal has in effect blocked my ability to make a living, and blocked my
ability to take care of my customers.

As some of you know, I started selling on eBay one year ago, and have
enjoyed a great success. Due to my wife's severe illness, eBay allowed me to
work from home to take a more active role in my families care.

I know that during this time it has been difficult to reach me. You can
imagine how frustrating this is, as I have shipped thousands of items, with
thousands of satisfied customers.

Please know that I am doing everything possible to get to the cause and
subsequent resolution of eBay's / Paypal problem.

I will ship your product as soon as possible

Sincerely,
Jim, Beth, Claire, and Tyler

Being suspended from ebay should have no effect on his knife stock. They didn't confiscate it.
If you did any part of this supposed transaction by mail, contact the USPS, and get the postal inspectors involved. That would constitute mail fraud, and they will prosecute him.

heres just a couple (most were deleted due to getting quite heated)...he has hit hard on many people and those that succsessfully got there product had shocking tales of dealing with him.

sorry, but he has screwed so many people and the crap he keeps saying about his wife is kinda repetitive and i've had that from quite a few eBay dealers etc...i filed my bad dealings with eBay fraud report and with my credit card company, though i havnt personally dealt with James Irvine i personally think he needs to be blocked from ever doing it again.

he was under northshoregifts on eBay also and had a northshoregifts website selling swords prodominently.

cheers,

I dont think im going to get my money back. But I will be sure to take a "business trip" to this jerks house, all i need is 5 minutes with him and i'll be happy.
