Hello BF,

The following accounts were used by a scammer to impersonate me via email. I am guessing the person saw a comment in my sales thread and had the buyer's email from a previous post on the forum. I imagine somebody surfs around for "I'll take it" comments, and if he has an email for that member, jumps into the conversation.

Beware of emails from: blade_giant1@aol.com

The name that came up on their paypal payment is Eric Gibson. The paypal they used is this: Melodycole68@gmail.com

Buyers who have their contact info exposed are doing this to themselves and they are the reason the scammers live here full time now due to so many users exposing their personal info for the world to see and leaving it up.

This is why I lock ALL my sales posts so scammers don't know who is trying to buy something so they can't try to contact the buyer if they left their contact info up in an old post/thread.

I agree that best practices would make scamming in this manner much more difficult! Perhaps I should consider the same, that is, locking my posts.
