Here is a new design I've made (Bird & Trout model). The goal was to achieve a water-oriented theme with the knife.

The blade is made of 1/8 inch thick O1 tool steel. It is equipped with a hair-shaving & mirror polished scandi grind. The sides are a satin finish. The slightly contoured handle is made of professionally stabilized & dyed maple burl. It has double liners (white/black) between the tang and the scales. The knife comes with a hand-made sheath, and a leather lanyard with matching beads (cut from the same wood as the scales).

Price: $215.00 + $5.00 shipping
SOLD

First who says "I'll take it" either here on this thread, through PM, or through my email gets it.

This is remarkable. The blue with the natural rust coloring in the burl really compliments each other. Is this a knife style you'll continue to make? Very nice.

Firstly, thanks for all the positive comments guys! :D

Yeah, I will make more bird & trout models in the future. For the scales... well, I'm always hunting for knife scales that I think will work good on my style of knives. Recently I have been particularly interested in stabilized & dyed maple burl, and I think I have some left over that is quite similar to what you see here.

The hardest knife to make look perfect is one that has no adornments.
Nothing to cover an off center grind or something to distract your eye from a defect.
Nice work !

Cody,

Everything about this knife screams quality.......
From the way you packed it for shipping right down to the beads you made for the lanyard....... and everything in between!

Fit and finish is about as close to perfect as it could be. I can't find anything wrong with it at all......... and I am picky. ;)

Grinds are even and symmetrical, it is sharp as a razor, the sheath fits it like a glove, and the handles are beautiful. The black and white liners are a very nice touch also...... they go right with the "character" of this knife.

All I can say is a job well done my friend !!!!!

Kind regards,
Cp

PS/ Sorry for the late reply, I have been away from town and just got to actually see and touch it Tuesday night......... ;)
