Scandi Friction Folder Review

One more question. How much blade can you get on the Hudson Bay? I need to scheduls one of those for my last BIG knife.

Just say the word, I`m loving mine. I don`t even miss not having my Vic in my pocket anymore!

As someone that watched you in your shop for a couple of hours, that is a remarkable statement.

Sounds good. Other than that, I am pretty well stocked with larger knives. Gotta decide on the handle and hardware.

Do you have any of these for sell? If so or if you plan to have some later, how much?

Unfortunately I saw the for sale listing for this one after you had decided to keep it.

John,

Are you still toting this guy around?

I was wondering if you had any long-term additions to your review.

I`ve been alternating between this and my own Pack Knife, my Victorinox Soldier is not happy about it! It handles everything I throw at it.

Hi Stomper -

I have not used #1 much - but I need to get it out, take some pictures and cut some stuff with it!

Mine came shaving sharp and was at The Gathering for all to play with.

Like Stomper said, there is no blade play and it feels very sturdy - no flex to it at all. I thought the sharp-edged handles would be uncomfortable, but they are not as the handle seems just right when you clench your hand around it.

My example is a convex grind, by the way.

Here is a pic of my JKFF in a "family shot"

Hey Stomper,

What do you think of a folder like yours, but...
with a slight recurve, and a clip point, thus making it a folding RUSK?

(and with the scandi grind- that must cut like mad!)

I could do that! ;)

Your bowie rocks, by the way.

Thanks rooikat!

I really love it - it is one that I have not used yet, I just look at it and play with it...but I'll get it some patina soon....

Playing and looking is half the fun. Your bowie is one of those special Stompers that moves from the utility/work/using type into the collector/art category as well, in my eyes. He got everything just right on that one.
