Pitdog Jr has asked me if they do a folding Mora, I guess what he means is are there any folders with a Scandi Grind ?
As I'm too lazy to do a search I thought I'd ask you guys !!!:D:thumbup:

I have an EKA Swede 88 with a scandi grind. Easily my favorite locking folder. I've also seen a mora with a removable blade. I think it screwed into the handle. Looked just like a number 1 when assembled.

I own several EKAs and they're fantastic knives -- I'm constantly surprised they don't get more attention.

The lockbacks are very solid and, at least on the 88 and similar models I've handled, the blade pivot can be tightened easily because the brass screw has a flathead groove -- no fancy torx wrenches needed. I also like the slipjoints, which have douk douk-type springs with A LOT of snap.

I should note that the blades on the 88 and related folders are rather thin -- about 20% thinner than the blade on a Buck 110; say, as wide as the blade of a Swiss Army Knife at the base (although there's basically no distal taper so the spine of the blade is the same thickness throughout).

All of mine arrived with a secondary bevel but that can be ground away to get a true Scandi edge.

I should clarify - the EKA slipjoints have the same snap as douk douks, not literally the same springs as douk douks...

That's fine with me. I don't go crazy with pocket knives. If I need to pry something I'll get my Howler...or a prybar.
