Scandi grind folders?

Is there a company that makes Scandi grind folders? I should note that I am looking at $50 max for the price.
 
none that i can think of but there are many im sure you can make into with just a little work, actually a hikonogami could be one
 
I don't have anywhere near the skill required to totally reprofile a blade. If I did that I would do no more than ruin it and get depressed.
 
If you can find one, get your hands on an EKA Swede 92, or its wood-handled brother, the Swede 82.

They can still be found, but you may have to order it from the UK or Germany.

I have one of the Normark-branded Swede 92s, as well as an EKA-branded version of the same knife.

The smaller EKA Swede 88 also has the Scandi grind, but on a significantly thinner blade.

Although the "normal" price for a Swede 92 is going to be about $50, if I were looking to buy another one, I wouldn't flinch at paying up to $80, considering that these seem to be disappearing.

Also keep an eye on eBay, as that's where I got one of mine.

 
I have been wanting one of those 92s, thanks for reminding me... I really need to start writing down a priority list for purchases
 
Are all of the EKA knives scandi grind blades? Can't quite find good pictures of the ones I am looking at. I am looking at the cheap folders (sub $20) just to try the company out.

I don't think all are, theres a few that look real similar to a SAK's blade.
 
Brisa makes them. They have various handle choices. They are some of the finest scandi grind folders I've ever seen. EDIT: You can have d2 or s30v in scandi grind.

The ones I am wondering about the scandi grind on are the 8, 38, and the "compact folder" (most I can find for the name, it's the cheap locking folder). Know about them?
 
Don't know about the 8 or 38, but the compact I believe is ffg, there is also an S8, which is scandi.

You're thinking of the EKA Swede 8 (which looks like it's actually hollow ground and not scandi). The 38 isn't scandi ground based on my quick research. Neither is the compact folder.

Well looks like I won't be getting a scandi folder anytime soon. That Brisa is a bit too expensive, and apparently the only scandi folders are way over $50.
 
After looking at the Swede 8, it is a carbon copy of my Outdoor Edge Grip Lite, except a slight blade shape difference. Even the logo spot on the handle is the same.
