Does anyone know who makes a good single bevel scandi grind knife? All the quality makers seem to be in the UK and have ridiculous waiting lists.

Plenty of the custom makers here on the forum do Scandi grinds.

Dan Koster makes a good one.

Also Brian G Andrews who is on this forum a lot makes a really nice one. Affordable.

Spooky Pistolero loaned me his and I did a reviewof it not long ago. It sort of incorporates a lot of good features of various models into one knife:thumbup:

I really liked what I saw from Koyote knives. One that I really liked, wish I would have kept it, was made by Charles May. Unsure of his location, but a great knife.

WOW HD! I had no idea you did a review on mine. That is cool. I like the feedback too!

Here is a pic of my personal one.

Looks like you got a bunch of great makers suggested so far

I just got my First Helle.

No complaints so far. Sharp, comfortable, not expensive!

I really like my Helle Futura - it's easily my sharpest knife and very comfortable to hold. I did tweak it slightly during a batoning incident, but I tweaked it back without issue. As a result, I consider my Helle great for conventional use, but not super hard use.

Sweet. I have some of that birch from Brisa I'm sending to Charlieridge to put on a scandi he's making for me.

By the way BGA way to go for incorporating so many of people suggestions into the design of that blade. You can really tell it paid off when you use one of them!

I'll second BrianGAndrews' knife.

I don't own one (yet) but got to handle his personal knife and his convex version last weekend. It's a handful and the craftsmanship is stellar.

check out the Enzo line of knives, you can order them as a kit or premade, either way you will have a beautiful knife.

Here is six scandis I just finished for Rescueriley and the Bush Craft Bums. Rescueriley already has one of them and is using it in his videos. Doug

I've got an EDC (spearpoint style) in bocote coming up. I woulda taken photos today but the light sucked do to the storm.

I most often do scandis on smaller knives, neckers and bird and trout style knives. I'm just getting to doing more of them on the larger blades.

Brian- those handles are GORGEUOUS.

Doug, that's a sweet BC design, and a nice set.

Christof Thanks much. That is my Camp Master design. One of my others I do right now in scandi is the Forester. Here is one in Canary wood I just sold.
